Travel Options to Acapulco
You have two main options to get to Acapulco:
Option 1 (Recommended): Fly into San Diego, use Cross Border Xpress (CBX)
Fly into San Diego (tickets from Oakland/Sacramento are around $70). Then use the Cross Border Xpress (CBX), a pedestrian bridge at 2745 Otay Pacific Dr, San Diego, CA 92154, that takes you directly into the Tijuana airport. From there, you can fly directly to Acapulco with no layovers. If our trips align, we can coordinate and fly on the same flight together!
Option 2: Fly from the U.S. directly
You can fly from any major U.S. airport to Acapulco, but it usually costs about $200 more per ticket and includes a mandatory international layover in either Mexico City or Guadalajara.
Since both routes require a form of layover, we strongly recommend Option 1 for cost, convenience, and the opportunity to travel together!
STRONG SUGGESTION
Most people choose Volaris for this trip because it's the most affordable and frequent option between Tijuana and Acapulco. However, if you prefer a more premium experience, both Delta Airlines and AeroMexico offer first-class seating options for flights into Mexico.
